Celtic sign Charly Musonda on 18-month loan from Chelsea

While Conte does like to give chances to young players, the only thing we can speculate about the move is that Musonda will be leaving Chelsea as soon as his loan deal gets over.

Charly Musonda might have left Chelsea to join Celtic on loan but the Belgian winger has already stirred controversy as reports are coming in that the 21-year-old has unfollowed a number of Chelsea accounts on social media.

The 21-year-old signed a new contract with Chelsea last month but is keen to play regular first team football with opportunities in Antonio Conte's team limited.

A loan to Real Betis in January 2016 began brightly, but after extending his stay for the 2016-17 season Musonda found himself out of manager Gus Poyet's first-team plans, making just one appearance before being recalled to Chelsea in January 2017. Musonda is unlikely to be part of the squad that takes on Hearts on Tuesday, but could make his debut when they face Kilmarnock on Saturday (3 February).

It is believed that Musonda will wear the number 67 jersey during his spell in Glasgow.

"It's a massive club and I am really looking forward to it". "It's a club with many fans, an unbelievable passion, and the culture is more than a club". It's [the win over Newcastle] very good for the team and for me I'm very happy.

Is Musonda's Future Not At Chelsea?

It won't be the last piece of business done by Celtic ahead of Wednesday night's transfer deadline.

However, the Belgian U21 worldwide will now continue his development with more regular first-team football with the Scottish Premiership reigning champions and current league leaders.

Palmieri, on the other hand, is Stamford Bridge bound after the two clubs reached an agreement over the fee.
