Kate and William dine with Swedish royals

Kate Middleton may dress up more than the average civilian, but it's still a rare occasion to see her in full black-tie regalia.

The Duchess of Cambridge also handed out drinks to the young players and later the couple posed for a photograph and spoke briefly to onlookers. The pregnant royal added high-heeled shoes and a dazzling collection of jewels for the swish affair, with her rich brunette locks style in a sleek updo.

Kate Middleton is well-known for her long, glossy hair and her tireless philanthropy, and now it's being reported that she kindly donated seven inches of her locks to a children's cancer charity past year.

"She has such a rotten time during these early months but she's out of the woods now and doing well", a source told E! It's one of the millions of things we covet about her, including her impeccable fashion sense and her adorable children.

"We are so very grateful to every single person who kindly supports the charity in this way". The Duchess agreed, but wanted to make sure that the hair went to someone who needed it.

The Little Princess Trust gives away free real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses.

Helen Creese, a spokeswoman for the charity, said: 'It's a complete surprise.

When the duke scored, the duchess matched him and raised her first in triumph - but after her husband whacked his second goal into the net, she fired wide with her final shot. Granted, it's only in their children's rooms, but it's still a surprising bit of news coming from the royal family.

The Sunday Express reported that the duchess donated her hair while at the hairdresser, and it was passed along anonymously. In 2016, One Direction's Harry Styles chopped off his hair to be made into a wig.
