Rumour: Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is this year's CoD game

Call of Duty: WW2 is currently out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, however Activision and Treyarch already have job listings for Call of Duty 2018.

The true question is, would you like to see Call of Duty 2018 explore a modern time with modern tech and weapons?

In addition to the above, Sellars seems to have a pretty solid track record when it comes to predicting announcements regarding Nintendo stuff, which this Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 rumor has ties to the Nintendo Switch.

Moreover, the upcoming game will reportedly be a full-featured version with DLC support, HD Rumble, and motion controls.

Sellars is himself known to be an expert of all things Nintendo specifically, having predicted the release of Nintendo Labo.

The Nintendo Switch version will be ported by a development studio who is familiar with the Call of Duty franchise. According to industry insider and editor Marcus Sellars, it's a "modern" shooter and is slated to hit this year. Based on the requirements posted for the position, the team wanted someone with a deep knowledge base of firearms and modern military technology. The boots-on-the-ground gameplay is what fans have been wanting for years, and now it seems that's exactly what the series will be churning out for the foreseeable future. Treyarch's Black Ops 3 was released in 2015, Infinite Warfare from Infinity Ward was released in 2016 and previous year we went boots on the ground with Sledgehammer Games Call of Duty: WWII.

Most people believe that the FPS title will have a trailer available by E3 2018, which will confirm the leaked details regarding its setting and gameplay. What's even more interesting, the game would be a straight forward arrival on Nintendo Switch.
