Golfer Bill Haas injured in fatal vehicle crash

PGA Golfer Bill Haas and actor Luke Wilson have been involved in a fatal crash in southern California.

The driver of the Ferrari was killed in the rollover crash. The 71-year-old driver of the Ferrari was killed.

Fischer also confirmed that actor Luke Wilson was traveling northbound when his Toyota SUV was also hit by the Ferrari.

The accident involved a Ferrari and a BMW in the Pacific Palisades neighbourhood in Los Angeles at 6:31pm on Tuesday evening, according to police. Two passengers in the BMW were hospitalized with serious injuries, the station reported.

The 46-year-old was uninjured after the crash which also involved professional golfer Bill Haas.

A source told Golf Digest that Haas was "not good" but in stable condition.

Police said world No 67 Haas was "doing OK". Jay Haas told the Golf Channel that his son will make a full recovery.

Almost 12 after the crash, which was reported around 6:30 p.m. on the 13th, Bill's father confirmed to Todd Lewis, of the Golf Channel, that his son had been released from the hospital.

Haas, a six-time PGA tour victor, was in Los Angeles for a golf tournament at the Riviera Country on Thursday. "I've heard from his agent and Bill's banged up and bruised so he'll take some time off and I know he'll be very glad to get home to Greenville".
