"Xiaomi launches 55" smart Mi LED TV 4

While the Redmi Note 3 had poor cameras, the Redmi Note 4 was slightly better, and with the Redmi Note 5, Xiaomi has tried to improve it further.

Redmi Note 5 launched with a 5.99 inch FullHD+ display. A Face Unlock feature will arrive in March with an OTA update.

The Redmi Note 5 Pro can be yours for INR 13,999 for the base model of 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the high-end variant of 6GB RAM and 64GB storage will set you back INR 16,999. The smartphone will also go on sale soon via all of Xiaomi's offline retail partners.

The company has also been teasing on its official Twitter handle for the past few days with #GiveMe5 hashtag regarding its upcoming launch and now it has been confirmed that the new smartphone will be launched exclusively on Flipkart.

At the heart, there's an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC paired with either 3GB RAM + 32GB storage or 4GB RAM + 64GB RAM.

You can get the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro through Xiaomi's Home store, mi.com and Flipkart starting February 22.

We are yet to test out the Redmi Note 5 Pro's shooter in varied conditions to give out a final verdict. It features the same launch offers as the Redmi Note 5. The Redmi Note 5 smartphone- a successor to the popular Redmi Note 4 is expected to be launched in India at 12 noon.

According to the leaked information, a 5.99-inch screen will be given in the Redmi Note 5 with a resolution of 2160 x1080 pixels. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 636 processor. It provides a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and 4000mAh battery. The one on the front has a 20MP sensor and is coupled with an LED flash. The primary camera on the back has a 12MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture, while it has a secondary 5MP f/2.0 camera.

The less powerful Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 has a single rear camera and the same overall design.

There's still a micro USB port, which is disappointing considering the similarly priced Mi Max 2 sports a USB Type-C port. It measures 158.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm and weighs 180 grams.

Unfortunately, there's no word on the pre-installed Android version, which probably means both the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro will be running Nougat-based MIUI at launch. Additionally, it's claimed to be fastest Redmi Note phone to date.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in China with specifications which are similar to what is expected from the Redmi Note 5.

On the camera front, the rumours suggest a dual camera setup with a pair of 16Megapixel sensors.
