Far Cry 5 Post Launch DLC Announced

Far Cry 5 Post Launch DLC Announced

And Ubisoft says that they will be featuring Live Events for Far Cry 5 too.

Where tropical Far Cry 3 revolved around its unhinged ringleader Vaas and Far Cry 4 had sharply-dressed Himalayan regent Pagan Min as its antagonist, Far Cry 5 touches down in rural Montana, USA, where doomsday preacher Joseph Seed controls the separatist community of Eden's Gate.

If you're feeling nostalgic for the third Far Cry installment, you're in luck. The publisher is planning a bevy of post-launch content that'll take players on fantastic adventures. Finally, zombies invade in Dead Living Zombies. "Dead Living Zombies" sounds like a Horde mode-type experience in which players will battle "waves of zombies across different scenarios cooked up by a b-movie director".

Far Cry 5 launches on March 27 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

While level editors have been present in previous Far Cry games, the new implementation seems to be the most comprehensive yet, offering players the ability to make and share single-player and cooperative missions, as well as multiplayer experiences. All buyers will get access Far Cry Arcade, the new map editor.

What do you make of Far Cry Arcade?

Unlike GTA Online, everything you earn in Far Cry Arcade will transfer to your actual campaign save.

The three DLC campaigns will be available for anyone who buys a season pass of the Gold Edition of the game.

The Arcade will be home to a curated slice of player-generated content, alongside official maps.

And you get to create your own lead character for the first time, ramping up on the RPG elements.

Other exciting post-launch goodies include Far Cry 5 Live Events, which update the game with new challenges that deliver unique rewards like vehicle and weapon skins. The season pass content is yet to receive a release window, but we'll let you know as soon as it does.
