God Of War's Director Confirms There Won't Be Microtransactions

It'll be released on the same day as the game, April 20, and will cost $400 in the USA (the same price as a standard PS4 Pro) or $500 CAD.

It will become available alongside the game on April 20. Without a doubt, these and myriad other reasons have easily made God of War one of the most highly anticipated video games of 2018.

Sony revealed via the PlayStation Blog that on April 20th, gamers can buy the Limited Edition God of War PS4 Pro Bundle.

The special God of War bundle features a fully customized PS4 Pro with 1TB of memory inspired by Kratos' Axe, with a Leviathan Gray DualShock 4 wireless controller, complete with insignia.

This limited edition bundle will be available in select retailers across the region, and pre-orders start today.

The Limited Edition God of War PS4 Pro was designed in close collaboration with Santa Monica Studios, bringing to life Kratos' Leviathan Axe. On the sides, the panels are trimmed with runes that represent different realms in the game. The controller is "Leviathan Gray" with a single glyph on the right handle and the God of War logo on the touchpad.

Dynamic 4K gaming requires compatible 4K display well as dynamic 4K capable software.

God of War 4 will Support 2160p Checkerboarding and Supersampling for 1080p owners, as well as HDR across all PS4s.

We've asked Sony if Australians can expect the slick looking console too.

As seen below in Sony's "Behind the Myths" interview, Barlog delves into the new perspective that the forthcoming God of War will take insofar as its mythology, notions of family, and game mechanics are concerned.
