Redmi 5: Xiaomi's budget full-screen smartphone may launch in India soon

India's Ultimate Smart TVs with smart PatchWall OS, Mi LED TV 4A (43) and Mi LED TV 4A (32) are televisions that put content first, and learn from the user to provide more relevant suggestions across sources.

To recap, the Redmi 5 arrived alongside the Redmi 5 Plus in December 2017. The Samsung Galaxy J7 is equipped with Exynos 7870 Octa octa-core 1.6GHz SoC with a Mali-T830MP2 GPU.

A device called Xiaomi Berlin has been listed on popular benchmarking site Geekbench. Other specs include an SD 636 chip, 6GB of RAM, 64GB storage and a massive 4000mAh battery capacity. The Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 636 are more than sufficient, and phone makers are even still releasing devices with the older Snapdragon 625.

Xiaomi was supposed to have made the announcement during the Mobile World Congress 2018 last month. Besides this, it is all set to unveil the flagship Mi Mix 2S on March 27.

On the pricing point, the Xiaomi Mi TV 4A 32-inch Mi TV 4A has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs 13,999, while the bigger version which comes packed with a 43-inch screen will cost buyers Rs 22,999. The announcement of Redmi Note 5 in China, Xiaomi will be March 16 this year, and nearly immediately it goes on sale, so it can be ordered on the same AliExpress, but its value at this point remains unknown.

It will feature a 5.7-inch HD+ (720x1440 pixels) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and 282ppi pixel density.

Besides this, the said Xiaomi Berlin will come powered by the Snapdragon 632 processor, which, as per the listing, is a hexa-core chipset.

In China, the phone was launched in three variants. Xiaomi Redmi 5 is available in two variants - 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage - priced at 799 Yuan (approximately Rs 7,500) and 899 Yuan (approximately Rs 8,500) respectively. The smartphone runs on Android Nougat with MIUI 9, and it is backed by a 3,000mAh battery. In the camera department, the Redmi 5 will be offering a 12MP camera on the rear with f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP selfie camera on the front with.
