Fifth-seeded Nebraska men's basketball to open NIT at Mississippi State

Nebraska is not in the field of 68 for the 2018 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

Cornhuskers fans responded online in a not-so-friendly way.

The Huskers will get a spot in the NIT Tournament, which is announced a couple hours after the NCAA selection show.

Baylor certainly looked like a team on its way to making the NCAA Tournament after winning five-consecutive games, which included wins over Kansas and Texas Tech.

The Bears will be a one-seed and will host the first round.

Miles and the fan base doesn't seem to understand what happened Sunday night.

After losing to MI in the Big Ten Tournament more than a week ago, the Huskers have been forced to wait and wonder whether they'll be playing in the NCAA Tournament this year.

Nebraska was clinging to NCAA hopes going into Sunday after finishing with a 13-5 Big Ten record and tying for fourth in the league.
