Tottenham keeps EPL top-4 hopes on track despite Kane injury

The 24-year-old may not be the only injury concern to emerge from the game for Spurs either, with Danny Rose and Dele Alli each being forced off late in the match.

England have been put on high alert after Tottenham striker Harry Kane limped off with an ankle injury against Bournemouth on Sunday.

England worldwide Kane limped off with just over half an hour played at the Vitality Stadium after sustaining an ankle problem while scoring an offside goal.

Bournemouth started positively and nearly took the lead in the fourth minute when Junior Stanislas broke through on goal and rounded the keeper, but he saw his effort come back off the post. That injury ruled him out for a month, but with Spurs still in contention for a top-four finish (and the FA Cup), losing their star player for such a crucial period of the season would be devastating.

Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan then each contributed a goal and an assist to give Arsenal a win that does little more than strengthen its hold on sixth place. The maximum number of games Tottenham can play between now and the end of this campaign is 11, one of which is a potentially decisive encounter with their top-four rivals Chelsea on 1 April.

The hosts took the lead inside eight minutes s Junior Stanislas controlled a cross from Adam Smith before drilling low into the corner of Hugo Lloris' net, and the visitors' afternoon went from bad to worse on the half-hour mark. We conceded the first goal.

"We are concerned because still we can't know what will happen to him", said Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

The Sun claims Kane has committed to Tottenham Hotspur for the foreseeable future.

And with Bournemouth pushing for an equaliser, the South Korean had acres of space to run through and slot home his 18th goal of the season three minutes from time.

And Ivory Coast full-back Aurier completed the scoring, heading in a rebound from close range after goalkeeper Begovic had tipped away a cross from Spurs substitute Kieran Trippier.
