Cameron Diaz Has Quit Acting at Age 45, According to Selma Blair

Cameron Diaz Has Quit Acting at Age 45, According to Selma Blair

Blair claims she recently met up with her old friend for lunch and suggested they reteam on the big screen for a sequel to their 2002 movie - but Diaz wasn't interested. Mary marked the beginning of her transition from promising ingenue to burgeoning movie star. Selma Blair is quite the jokester - but when her words were misconstrued during a recent interview, she was quick to tackle the rumor that she didn't realize she had started regarding her good pal Cameron Diaz. But many other leading ladies from her generation found themselves in more weighty roles.

Of course, Diaz hasn't officially announced anything and "retirement" seems to have a different meaning in Hollywood, so it wouldn't be shocking to see her name attached to a future project. She also voiced Princess Fiona in all four films of Dreamworks' hugely successful Shrek franchise.

Diaz, who's married to musician Benji Madden, last appeared in 2014's Annie remake.

Its follow-up, The Longevity Book, followed in 2016.

After three years of marriage, the actress is ready to take the next step and expand her family even greater.

"I just went, 'I can't really say who I am to myself, ' Diaz explains in Entertainment Tonight". Which is a very hard thing to face up to.

But as Selma, 45, pointed out, 'she doesn't need to make any more films'.

An insider told Us Weekly, "She would love more than anything to be a mum".

"She is enjoying being at home and being a housewife, she would love more than anything to be a mom".

"Cameron hasn't wanted to work", the source said. There are rumors that the pair are looking forward to adopt by the time they celebrate their next anniversary. As the popularity of rom-coms weaned, so did the space Diaz took up in the Hollywood landscape.

Last year, Daniel Day-Lewis also called an end to his acting profession.
