Honor rolls out Face Unlock feature for Honor 7X

Honor, Huawei's other smartphone brand, has today introduced the "C" edition of its seventh-generation line of budget phones with the launch of the Honor 7C in China. Yes, the Honor 7C ships with Face Unlock mode out of the box, which is an added advantage for many. The smartphone has been slotted below the Honor 7X in the company's lineup but does feature a full screen design with an HD+ 18:9 aspect ratio display. There is no word yet on Honor 7C's global availability. It will be the successor to last year's Honor 6C which came with a 5.5-inch HD display. This is for the 3GB RAM and 32GB variant while the souped-up version costs CNY 1,299 or around $205.

The Honor 7X features dual-lens 16MP + 2MP rear camera with large aperture and fast focusing means DSLR-level photo quality and shooting experience is at selfie-lovers' fingertips. The smartphone was earlier spotted on TENAA with the model number LND-AL30.

Honor has announced a budget phone Honor 7C with dual rear cameras, face unlock features. Moreover, it's compatible with two SIM cards and MicroSD cards of up to 256GB capacity.

Unsurprisingly, the new guy packs a marginally smaller 3000mAh battery too, although its lower-res 1440 x 720 display and modest Snapdragon 450 processor should probably help keep the lights on for a satisfactory amount of time. Coming to the camera department, the rear camera gives importance to the depth sensing rather than the image processing. Dimensions of the phone are 158.3×76.7×7.8mm and weight is 164 grams. It runs on Android 8.0 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.0 at the top of it.

It will be available in Black, Blue, and Gold color options. Besides, an LED flash and a fingerprint scanner are also on its back panel just below the camera setup. Connectivity options are - Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio-jack, and Global Positioning System.
