Philips Hue Outdoor Lighting Products Coming This Summer

Philips is taking its smart lighting outdoors.

Philips has announced its first outdoor Hue lights, with a wide range of new garden-centric products arriving this summer. The outdoor light choices will include both white and white and color options at various price points, starting at $29.99 and going up to nearly $300. Your outdoor lights can also be triggered by the Home & Away function in the Hue app.

Philips on Monday announced its Philips Hue outdoor lineup will launch in the United States and Europe in July. Existing indoor Hue lighting has starter packs from under $100, with add-on bulbs and accessories from $25.

Philips tells us that the lights will also be arriving in Europe around the same time as the U.S. release, though pricing specifics have yet to be determined. Well, the new Philips Hue Lily is described as a "unique spotlight" created to highlight features like flowerbeds or potted plants. A few of the outdoor luminaires are flawless for mounting near a front or back door, so your lights can welcome you and your visitors to your home.

The Lily spotlights will start at $279.99/€299 for a three pack, while the Calla pathway lighting is $129.99/€139.99.

Like other Hue bulbs, you can set up lighting routines and schedules, control them remotely, and they support Apple's HomeKit platform. Last but not the least, Calla is the bollard light which can be used to light up a driveway or path. The PAR38 floodlight and the three wall fixtures are all Hue White products, meaning they don't change colors.
