Case Keenum to Sign Contract with Broncos After 1 Year with Vikings

And another one bites the dust.

The Denver Broncos are hoping to repeat the success they had with Peyton Manning in pursuing another free agent fix at quarterback.

The Denver Broncos search for a quarterback may have finally come to a close as Minnesota Vikings free agent Case Keenum is signing with Denver.

The Denver Broncos don't appear to be landing Kirk Cousins after all.

Even after signing Case Keenum, the Denver Broncos may still select a quarterback in the 2018 National Football League draft. It's clear Broncos senior personnel advisor Gary Kubiak, who coached Keenum for two seasons with the Houston Texans, had some influence in this decision.

Out of those three teams, the Jets have the most cap space available, but the Vikings offer Cousins the best supporting cast to immediately compete for a Super Bowl.

Keenum has been allowed to hit the open market by the Vikings despite leading them to the NFC championship game last season. The 30-year-old had a career year in 2017, throwing for 3,547 yards with 22 touchdown passes and just seven interceptions while completing 67.6 percent of his passes.
