Chelsea, Conte: " I am only focused on our upcoming games..."

Chelsea, Conte:

We felt it was the right moment for [the new faces].

Chelsea paid big money to sign the striker from Chelsea last summer, but it seems Morata is yet to earn the trust of Conte to start in the big games for the club.

Conte said: "I understand that they are having a hard time". Marcos is doing well and it would be good to see him train and compete with us.

"But he's not out of our thoughts and he has his chances to go to the World Cup".

The Brazilian-born star resolved his future by returning to his former club, Atletico, and has scored six goals in 14 appearances in all competitions.

Antonio Conte has declined to show Gary Cahill and Álvaro Morata a great deal of sympathy after they were omitted from their respective worldwide squads, with the Chelsea manager making clear the only way for them to prove they deserve to go to the World Cup is by working hard for their club.

Morata struggled with back injuries earlier this year and last scored for Chelsea on December 26.

He said: "I think we have to try to do both". He's had some physical problems and he's not been playing much and we've decided that now it was better to call up others. His options of going to the World Cup are still intact.

"This is a question for the coach of the national teams, not for me", Conte said when asked whether Cahill's and Morata's omissions placed doubt over their involvement in the World Cup in Russian Federation this summer. Despite showing glimpses of brilliance at the beginning, the form faded away and injuries have added to the trouble as the Spaniard finds himself down the pecking order for the Blues, with manager Antonio Conte preferring to play Eden Hazard as the false nine. Chelsea's Pedro Rodriguez and Victor "Vitolo" Machin were left out. "We are thrilled to be able to play against two great teams, the 2014 World Cup finalists".

'It won't be easy because Leicester is a good team, the last game at home we suffered a lot against them.
