Christian Eriksen "very happy" at Tottenham Hotspur

Christian Eriksen

When speaking of the clubs interested in him, they claim there are a couple of Ligue 1 sides, due to his good spell at Nice, and also Tottenham in the Premier League. Dreaming is one thing, but you don't know what's realistic until you see it on the table.

Mark Hughes will be in the Saints' dugout against Chelsea, who he helped win the FA Cup in 1997.

"To be honest, I do not think about [interest from elsewhere]", he told reporters on Denmark duty. "Right now, most people are very happy at Tottenham and I am also".

Tottenham Hotspur will be the "away" side for their FA Cup semifinal against Manchester United at Wembley, Spurs' home ground for this season.

"I think Hazard has maybe dipped slightly but he has the undoubted quality to shine for Chelsea so if they can get him firing at this vital stage it'll be a huge boost for Antonio I'm sure".

Christian Eriksen's season so far has been nothing short of outstanding, the Danish global has scored 11 goals and assisted nine for Mauricio Pochettino's side and is showing no signs of slowing down.

And Eriksen is convinced he will be able to win a trophy in north London.

"Yes, I think so if you think about where Tottenham was when I came compared to where we are today", he said.

Negotiations have reportedly been going on for over a year now, but neither the player's camp, nor the club are ready to agree to each other's terms, and thus, he could be forced to depart at the end of the season. We may have to build ourselves up toward winning a trophy and we are on the right path.
