Fortnite on iOS available to everyone without invite

"Fortnite" is available to download from the iOS App Store for free, with the initial download weighing in at 126.6 megabytes, but further downloads push the total required capacity past 3.4 gigabytes on one AppleInsider writer's iPad Pro.

Epic Games made the announcement on Twitter today, saying you no longer need a special link or an invitation from a friend to play Battle Royale on mobile devices. The goal of the game is to scramble to find weapons and supplies, and survive until you're the last player standing.

Steven Spielberg's film "Ready Player One" may be all about a virtual reality video game, but the box office opening is most certainly the real thing! Now, the two most successful Battle Royale games are in our hands everywhere we go. It is not available for all iOS users either as there are some hardware requirements.

Don't be surprised if, in the coming weeks, Fortnite gets a whole lot more popular.


While open to all iOS users, Epic reminds that there are restrictions on what iPhones and iPads can play the game.

Considering that the game developer has allowed mobile players to send invites to their friends, this has helped with the growth of the mobile fan base of the game. Could you add this to the loading screen for a couple days to mess with them? 'Mr.
