Light wintry mix and snow possible tonight

Light wintry mix and snow possible tonight

Turning cloudy, remaining chilly. Yes, we'll cool-down a bit again, but for the most part, some springtime weather will take control over the next few weeks.

Rain drifts farther to the south through the day.

Sunday was a day that felt more like early March as opposed to early April.

Today, clouds will stick around and we'll see a high of 43 degrees. The air will be much drier, and less humid too. However, it'll feel comfortable outside in the afternoon since the wind will be light and the sun will be strong.

High pressure will move in from our west tonight and build atop the region.

Tomorrow: AM Showers (30%), Clearing Skies. The cloud cover is keeping temperatures around 50 degrees to the south and in the 40s to the north. Winds are becoming northeasterly behind the weak front, but will remain light around 5 to 15 miles per hour. After a morning start around 60° under mainly fair skies, look for cloud cover to increase through the day. Sunshine on both Monday and Tuesday afternoons, with highs in the upper 60s. Breezes should be light at least. Overnight lows below freezing will halt the snow melt. This weak coastal low will track northeastward Tuesday, staying well offshore. The next front would zip across the area next Tuesday but low level moisture may not have time to recover into the area. Cool east or north winds of mainly 5 to 15 miles per hour will pin temperatures in the 50s for highs Monday, 40s for lows Monday night, and 60s for highs Tuesday.

There was a high wind warning, but as of 5 p.m. Saturday, they hadn't materialized. Sunglasses will be needed for our morning commutes. Expect lows in the 50s and highs in the lower 80s. After a few showers along the front, we start a stretch of wonderful weather. Temps hit the upper 40s, closing in on 50 degrees in broad valleys, before falling back into the 40s on Friday with some colder air wrapping around the back side. Possibility of an isolated rain shower especially north but most of central IN stays dry for the day. The warm weather will continue into the weekend. We're still looking at a mix of sun and clouds.

Spring-like temperatures arrive Wednesday, with highs near 70 degrees. It will be cooler on Saturday with highs in the 50s with partly sunny skies. The next 7-10 days do NOT look very wet. A cold front will approach the area Saturday with a line of showers and storms. Temperatures have overall stayed colder and well below average.
