The work, a majority of which is expected to be completed by the start of the 2019-20 school year, will allow the school district to funnel all traffic through one main entrance, increasing security at the seventh through 12th grade campus.

"I'm not sure board meeting attendance is a good marker (for being an effective trustee)", added Patterson, offering better indicators such as "getting out and talking with families and knowing the pulse of the community".

Robinson said the district plans to have bid documents by May 14, with the board approving a bid for the project June 28.

A resolution to add a proposition to the district's May 15 public election, for the objective of approving the project and associated borrowing for it, was authorized Thursday night by the Board of Education.

No comment was made by administration or school board members after the two parents spoke. He said when the district switched prescription cards for employees, he fielded more than 200 phone calls. She has been credited by many for being instrumental in improving the school district's overall academic performance with her curriculum changes and innovations.

The Annual Town election is scheduled for Saturday, April 28.
