Meanwhile, Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Monday attacked the Narendra Modi government over custodial death of the father of the girl, saying that accused was roaming free while the victim's father was been taken into custody by police.

The wife of BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar on Wednesday and demanded that a narco-test be conducted of him and as well as of the minor from Unnao who has accused her husband of gang-raping her along with his accomplices.

The girl from Unnao, who has accused him of rape in June past year, said she had tried everything she could in the last nine months to get justice but failed. While reports suggested that the police were likely to arrest the MLA either on Wednesday night or early hours of Thursday, there was, no confirmation from the police about Sengar's arrest or surrender. "He was admitted to the hospital by the police". According to the woamn, she also complained to the police against the MLA, but no action was taken till now. The ensuing brawl spawned two police complaints, one by the teen's family and the second by the alleged assaulters. Subsequently, the police went ahead to book the father under the Arms Act and locked him up.

Speaking on the issue, UP police while addressing a press conference declared that a SIT (Special Investigation Team) will be formed to probe the case. Four accused of beating the father of the teen are arrested. "No evidence has been presented yet, still he's being labelled as rapist", said Sangeeta Sengar, accused MLA Kuldeep Senga's wife.

The victim claimed she was raped on multiple occasions by the MLA and his aides between June 9-12 previous year. He had also dismissed the complainant as belonging to "low status". "Beti bachao has now become "beti ke pita ko bhi marwao" while "bahut hua naari par vaar" has become a cruel joke on the women of India", he told reporters in Delhi.

The petition, filed by advocate ML Sharma, also sought a compensation of Rs 3 crore and protection to the family of the girl. "If need be, we could also consider reservations (within quota) for MBCs and dalits", he said. The district police had lodged cross FIRs in which Sengar's brother Atul was named.

However, BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar denied the allegations and called the woman's suicide attempt a "pre-planned" incident.

Another tweet said, "A larger question that the BJP needs to answer is why do their MLAs, workers, ministers and everyone in the party feel that they are above the law?" "If I am found guilty, I am ready to face the punishment", he said. No one will raise voice against the MLA and his family. "However, I request the administration to investigate in the matter and punish the real culprit of the entire scenario". The investigation has revealed that both parties are in a dispute for the 10-12 years.
