Apple Launches iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT)RED™ Edition

Apple is celebrating its new iPhones color with a Product Red leather folio for the iPhone X - the only phone that won't be dipped in red.

Red joins gold, silver, and space gray in the color lineup for Apple's iPhone 8 and 8 Plus. People, who are not aware of the (PRODUCT) Red series, It's an initiative of Apple in association with (PRODUCT) Red, an organisation which fight against the HIV/AIDS in eight African countries.

The new PRODUCT (RED) products are available online and will be available for purchase in stores beginning Friday, April 13.

The devices are identical to the iPhone 8 devices Apple launched in September. The phones now feature a black front panel instead of the white front panel.

Supposedly, Apple will announce the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus (PRODUCT) RED edition today but, if for any reason, the announcement does not take place in the morning, then Apple might make the announcement in the evening. Since it first partnered with (RED) in 2006, Apple says it's donated over $160 million to Global Fund. But only the iPhone 8 models, and not the expensive notch-covered iPhone X for some reason.

iPhone 8 (PRODUCT) RED Special Edition comes in a stunning red glass enclosure, matching aluminum band and sleek black front.

The company announced Monday it will offer a red iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The iPhone 8 is priced at $929 for the 64GB version and $1,139 for the 256GB. Apple is donating a percentage of the sales to Global Fund HIV and AID grants that focus on preventing mothers from passing diseases to their children.

The new versions of the smartphone - which have the same specifications as existing iPhone 8 handsets - will start at £699, Apple confirmed.

The top-end iPhone X won't receive the red paint job, but the tech giant has launched a red leather case (€109) to fit the €1,000 device and several other models. The Folio will be available from apple.com, the Apple Store app and Apple Stores for $99 starting Tuesday.
