EA to Bring Back Micro-transactions in Battlefront 2

EA to Bring Back Micro-transactions in Battlefront 2

Night on Endor brings back Crystals, which allow you to purchase in-game items with real money.

As mentioned, the new update will also let you play as those loveable (?) scamps the Ewoks in a new limited-time mode, Ewok Hunt.

Star Wars Battlefront II is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC players.

As an Ewok, you'll use spears, Wisties, and other abilities to take out stormtroopers, and every fallen Imperial soldier respawns as an Ewok.

In total, more than 50 additional Appearances will be included in the update, such as Wounded Chewbacca with an arm patch, Scarred Kylo Ren, Administrator Lando, Hooded Yoda, and Ahch-To Rey, as well as forty new Trooper Appearances. For each Stormtrooper that is killed, a new Ewok will spawn. Thankfully, Star Wars Battlefront II begins their community turnaround by taking risks with their first big community update. Star Wars Battlefront II would provide free DLC as to not separate its playerbase. The update is also set to roll out the first wave of cosmetic appearances that are available via the re-worked microtransactions model.

The Night on Endor update isn't arriving alone, though.

The Ewok Hunt mode will be playable starting next Wednesday, April 18.

That's now scheduled to start in May, which is also when the new Han Solo movie is released -so it's not too hard to imagine what the theme might be for the first few updates. We have improved the melee combat responsiveness for all melee attacks including things like lightsabers and Phasma's staff attack. "We will now spend more time listening, adjusting, balancing and tuning". At least we're not getting a Jar Jar mode. That all came crashing down, however, when players learned of Battlefront II's progression system.

"We hear you loud and clear, so we're turning off all in-game purchases", Gabrielson said.

However now that we know crystals are coming back for cosmetics only, will fans be pleased with the news too?
