Beyoncé at Coachella Dubbed Beychella

Beyonce hit Coachella on Saturday night-hard.

Director Ava DuVernay was the first to share her appreciation for the Single Ladies singer - flocking to Twitter to share a clip of the 36-year-old mid-performance.

Beyonce has been preparing for Coachella with a prolonged vegan cleanse, which she has invited fans to join in on her Instagram account.

And the girlband aren't the only ones making a surprise appearance at the Californian music festival.

"Coachella, thank you for allowing me to be the first black woman to headline", Beyoncé exclaimed before performing her hit song "Run the World (Girls)".

Bey was originally slated to headline Coachella past year but she dropped out on her doctor's advise after addressing her pregnancy with twins, Lady Gaga then took her place. She also belted out I Care, Partition, Baby Boy, Hold Up, and Check On It before her husband JAY-Z briefly joined her onstage for Deja Vu.

From all those live-streaming and watching #Couchella to the live crowd at actual Coachella, everyone was S C R E A M I N G. Bey is back, and in a big way. She had a full marching band backing her up.

Next up, you've got to dance like your life depends on it and shake what your mama gave you. Barefoot in a grey suit, Byrne opened sitting in a school desk and holding a brain, which he serenaded with "Here", a track about neuroscience off his new album "American Utopia".

Accustomed to packing arenas, the group managed to pull in a smaller but respectable crowd of hundreds despite the misfortune of playing at the same time as Beyonce.
