Eagles' Worley arrested near team facility, gun found at scene

"We are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning", the Eagles said when asked for comment.

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley may be in some trouble with the league, and the law. While he was in college at West Virginia, he entered a no contest plea and was given a six-month suspended sentence for an altercation with a woman outside a nightclub.

Preliminary information indicates that Worley became combative and officers used a Taser. A gun was recovered on the scene.

Rapoport added more details.

Worley was found passed out inside a vehicle that was blocking the highway at the intersection of Broad Street and Pattison Ave after someone called 911.

Worley, 23, is a Philadelphia native who returned home last month when the Birds acquired him in a trade with the Panthers.

Worley, who was drafted by the Panthers in the third round of the 2016 draft, had two interceptions and 49 tackles for Carolina last season. He was traded for this offseason. Even better, Worley was returning home to Philly, where his parents still live in their same North Philadelphia neighborhood where he grew up. It doesn't sound good.
