Paris St Germain thrash AS Monaco to clinch Ligue 1 title

Neymar told a TV Globo variety show on Sunday that he feels no pain, but he can not put his injured foot on the ground without an orthopedic shoe.

"There is still a month left, but I am recovering well".

Germany global Draxler rounded out the demolition, firing home via a deflection as PSG clinched the title at home for the first since 1994 while shattering Monaco's 17-match unbeaten run.

The 26-year-old sustained the injury playing for Paris Saint-Germain against Marseille.

PSG also said in a statement: "The medical assessment by Doctor Rodrigo Lasmar confirms the excellent evolution of Neymar Jr's injury, and authorizes the specific re-education of the right ankle and progressive full weight-bearing on the foot".

"When Neymar gets here, he'll be very eager to play".

Kylian Mbappe sat on the bench as Emery, whose contract is unlikely to be renewed at the end of the season, gave Javier Pastore a rare start.

Neymar became the world s most expensive footballer when he joined PSG from Barcelona last August for a fee of €222 million (US$273.6 million).

PSG started the second half cautiously and Monaco seemed to be pushing for a comeback but Di Maria fired home from Pastore's cross to kill all hope for Monaco.

That proved to be the final goal of the match as PSG secured the league title in emphatic fashion against last season's winners. Brazil's national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said at the time of the operation that Neymar's recovery could take up to three months.

Neymar has confirmed he will be fit for the World Cup in Russian Federation and is hopeful of making a return for PSG's final few games of the campaign.

Brazil will also face Costa Rica and Serbia in their group, as they target winning a sixth World Cup, four years after the nightmare of their 7-1 loss to Germany in the semi-finals on home soil.
