Robert DeNiro's Mueller Scorches 'Focker' Michael Cohen (Ben Stiller) On 'SNL'

Robert DeNiro's Mueller Scorches 'Focker' Michael Cohen (Ben Stiller) On 'SNL'

The open begins with Kate McKinnon's Jeff Sessions and Beck Bennett's Mike Pence discussing the latest developments in "Stupid Watergate", when Stiller arrives as Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen.

They are joined by Cohen (Stiller) who derides the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid on his office as a "complete violation of attorney-criminal privilege".

Once again, Stiller is strapped to a polygraph.

"I just tried to milk some information out of people", Stiller said.

Charitably, it's not searing stuff, and honestly feels more like an excuse for De Niro to say a word approximate to "fuckers" on live TV while getting some weeks-old Stormy Daniels jokes in at the same time.

"Did you say milk?" Don't worry, there were plenty of Meet the Parents references, not the least of which came when the special counsel scolded Cohen for complaining about the violation of his rights. "You can milk anything with nipples", the satirical Cohen answered.

"Really? I have nipples", DeNiro says. De Niro played the father of Stiller's love interest. De Niro's Mueller told Stiller's Cohen. From Stiller's awkward suggestion that cats can be milked (watch out Mr. Jinx!) to De Niro's insistence that they'll be catching all those "Fockers", it's a fun moment indeed for fans of the 2000 comedy.

The piece then comes to the flawless end where Mueller jokes: 'We're going to catch all of you little Fockers'. There's Trump himself, played regularly by Alec Baldwin.

The show has even portrayed Mueller repeatedly before.

But this week, McKinnon already had her hands full playing Sessions.
