J. Cole Announces New Album 'K.O.D.' & Release Date

00One of hip-hop's heavyweight, J.Cole, is set to release a new album this week. Not only did J Cole announce his new album KOD will be dropping this Friday, April 20th, but he capped off the news with a massive concert in New York City. "Forest Hills" garnered the rapper three of his five total Grammy nominations, with nods for Best Rap Album, Best Rap Performance (for "Apparently") and Best R&B Performance (for "Planez").

As for the KOD acronym, it reportedly stands for King Overdosed, Kill Our Demons and Kids on Drugs- it fittingly drops on 4/20. His previous album 4 Your Eyez Only was released in 2016. "Nah, nigga, I got an album".

J. Cole has been rather quiet with releasing music and making guest appearances on others' songs. There are some tracklists surfacing throughout the Internet, but sources claim that they are fake.

Fillers from attendees at the show claim that the new album will contain 12 tracks that was recorded over a period of two weeks. Cole has announced a surprise, last-minute event in London tonight (April 17) to promote his new upcoming new album - check out details below. Suffice it to say, KOD is going to be massive, and may very well be the classic that Cole fans so covet.
