What To Expect From God of War 5 and 6 [Spoilers]

In a glorious blur of axe swings and haymakers, God of War has firmly established itself as one of the best PS4 exclusives so far.

In terms of combat, you can't approach all the fights in the same way, and for this reason Gamereactor has made a few videos to show you how it's done (because of course, we're awesome). While Custom does exactly what it says and allows you to experiment with a level of immersion that you want. As we just mentioned, if you've got the "luck" stat turned on, you'll get even more loot from everything that you break.

The scale of God Of War is also one of its strongest assets.

Once you defeat the troll Daudi Kaupmadr, you'll need to work your way back to the house with a slightly dejected Atreus, who Kratos believes is not ready for the task ahead. Now, this essentially means that you'll be able to play the entire game without coming across any loading screens. This may seem like the post-game, but there is one more ending to see. Video games have been around long enough to be right about some things and wrong about a lot of them, and when they try to reconcile the two, you get a game like God of War. The game has more advanced battle moves such as ability to juggle enemies, dodge, and parry with shield.

Funnily, the pun came directly from Sony Interactive Entertainment's European arm, in the form of the obvious but hilarious "Dog of War" trailer.

There is a moment early in God of War when Kratos and his son Atreus are hunting a boar in the woods near their house. Throwing the axe at weak points always does extra damage, but with more unlocked skills it can freeze enemies in spot, give you extra bonuses upon hit and much more.

Despite the plot's occasional nods to previous entries in the series, Kratos and Atreus's tale marks a fresh start for the God of War universe that will be just as gripping for franchise newcomers.

God of War is a lovely game on so many levels.

Progression has never been as important to the series, though it's here that the game stumbles a bit. The idea behind this was taken from the Leviathan Axe that Kratos wields and flings at enemies in the game. What's good is that the game is aware of the fact that it needs to do better by the women in its narrative, but where it lands still has room for improvement.
