It's the first time the No. 29 sophomore has earned a berth to the NCAA Championships. ISU finished the regular season by winning two of their last four tournaments, including a fourth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship last week.

Coming off an SEC Tournament Championship, the Bulldogs are the No. 6 national seed and are set to welcome Memphis, South Alabama and Tennessee Tech to the A.J. Pitts Tennis Centre in Starkville on May 11-12. Before the tournament, we started to get on a win streak and every match we just got better and more relaxed. "So we were prepared and they were excited about it".

Nevada has put together one of its best seasons in recent memory, with five top five team finishes in 10 events, including a win at the El Macero Classic.

Eichhorn and Murlick were two of Marquette's three First Team All-BIG EAST selections. "You have to build a team". "I can't wait to get to work!" It is a significant achievement, as only 24 players around the nation are selected if their school is not invited.

"This is a great experience for Navy to face the top team in the country", said Navy head coach Chris Garner.

"We played a few singles matches with (Arizona State) in October", Coach Jeff Wyshner of Wake Forest said. However, junior Emma Albrecht became the second golfer in program history to qualify as an individual entrant for regional play, as Noriko Nakasaki - who qualified as an individual in 2007 - is the only other Irish female to do so.

Florida State will take on third-seeded North Florida Friday, May 11 at 2 p.m.

The 12th-ranked IL men's golf team will play in the NCAA Columbus Regional, hosted by Ohio State. The NCAA will release matchups for the first round later this month. They are part of a regional field that includes 14 teams and five individuals.

MSU made the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time and has done so for four straight seasons. In recent years, the tournament has been dominated by power-five schools like Duke, USC, UCLA and last year's victor Arizona State.

Freeman is 6-feet and 240 pounds, boasts size and power and gained 5,621 yards in college, while Williams is a bruising 6-foot-1 and 230 pounds and gained 656 rushing yards a year ago at a clip of 5.6 yards per carry with eight touchdowns.
