Iron Man costume from 2008 film stolen from storage

Iron Man costume from 2008 film stolen from storage

An employee at the prop house just happened to check in on the suit recently, and found that it was missing.

Sadly, the missing valuable in question is the original Iron Man suit.

The costume's value was estimated to be $320,000. The original suit going missing is still a significant blow to Marvel's cinematic legacy.

The suit, which was worn by Robert Downey Jr during the 2008 Iron Man film, is worth more than $300,000.

A representative for Marvel did not immediately respond to ABC News' request for comment. The Foothill Division of the LAPD is on top of the investigation. In the recently released "Avengers: Infinity War", Iron Man wore the character's comic book famous Bleeding Edge Armor to war.

Directed by Jon Favreau, the first "Iron Man" grossed $585. Downey's Spider-Man payday effectively makes him the highest paid actor in Spider-Man: Homecoming, over star Tom Holland.

One said that it's impossible to steal the Iron Man suit but if someone did, they deserve to keep it.

Downey Jr. has played the role of billionaire Tony Stark since 2008.
