Pakistani-American Muslim superhero movie coming: Marvel

Pakistani-American Muslim superhero movie coming: Marvel

Although many characters in Marvel Comics have adopted the mantle of Ms Marvel, president Kevin Feige made it clear that the movie will be based on Kamala Khan's version of Ms Marvel.

Marvel movies are filled with awe-inspiring stuff, strong fictional characters who become very close to people's hearts. Ms Marvel aka Kamala Khan, was introduced into the Marvel comics in 2013 and she's Marvel's first muslim superhero. Muslim superhero with Pakistani origins and that too a girl we can't wait to see Ms Marvel onscreen. The "Avengers" and "Captain America" films have long featured Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, and rumors are that she'll get her own film soon.

In his recent BBC interview, Feige explained, "Captain Marvel's shooting right now with Brie Larson". But who truly is the all-new Ms. Marvel?

Upcoming MCU flick "Captain Marvel" isn't due in theaters until next year, but a groundbreaking hero inspired by her may eventually be joining her on the big screen.

Many fans have supported Priyanka Chopra to be cast in this role but at the same time some say that this role should played by a Pakistani-American rather than an Indian.

No firm plans have been announced yet - least of all casting - but there's speculation that Priyanka Chopra could be a shoo-in for the role.

Since Priyanka Chopra has already lent her voice for a Ms Marvel video game her fans thought of her as an obvious and suitable choice.

Are you Marvel series fan? But whatever those plans end up being, it's exciting to know that Ms. Marvel has a solid chance of being a part of them. For that matter, all of their protagonists have been adults prior to Spider-Man: Homecoming, so including Kamala could add several different layers of diversity to the franchise, were she to appear sometime down the line.
