Get ready for 'Must-See Buffalo TV Night' on CBS this fall

Get ready for 'Must-See Buffalo TV Night' on CBS this fall

The CBS fall schedule announced Wednesday features six new shows (if you count "Murphy Brown" as a newcomer): three dramas and three comedies.

The upcoming 13-episode revival of sitcom Murphy Brown will air on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET in the fall, CBS has announced. But things are very different for the broadcast news legend this time around, having to deal with a journalism world of "fake news" and 24-hour cable.

Bergen is reuniting with co-stars Faith Ford, Joe Regalbuto and Grant Shaud.

The new "Magnum P.I." is part of a greatly revamped Monday lineup that also features the new (really new) CBS comedies, "The Neighborhood" and "Happy Together".

60 Minutes, television's #1 primetime news program for five decades, kicks off Sunday nights on the network, providing a strong lead-in for CBS' new drama series God Friended Me.

Thomas Magnum will be on CBS this fall, and so will Tom Selleck.

Focused According to the website the show's executives confirmed the setup could be compared to the MSNBC's Morning Joe and Fox News Fox & Friends rivalry seen on Wednesday at the CBS upfronts

And, no surprise here, just about all of them are right in the CBS wheelhouse.

Another new CBS fall drama, which will air 8-9 Sunday, is "God Friended Me". And that last one is actually exactly what it sounds like - an atheist accepts a friend request from God on Facebook and begins unintentionally helping others in need because of it. CBS explained it has similarities to Touched by an Angel, but in a more contemporary setting. FBI, set in the bureau's NY office, stars Missy Peregrym (Rookie Blue), Zeeko Zaki (Valor), Jeremy Sisto (Law & Order), and Ebonée Noel (Still Star-Crossed).

Shows that won't be returning include: 9JKL; Kevin Can Wait; Living Biblically; Me, Myself & I; Scorpion; Superior Donuts; Wisdom of the Crowd, and Zoo. It's set for 9 p.m. Tuesday in the fall.

Although not yet officially canceled, "Code Black" or "Ransom" were not mentioned in the CBS plans for the fall or midseason.

THURSDAY: 8 p.m., "Big Bang Theory;" 8:30 p.m., "Young Sheldon;" 9 p.m., "Mom;" 9:30 p.m., "Murphy Brown;" 10 p.m., "S.W.A.T".
