Trump asked me twice the difference between HIV and HPV - Bill Gates

MSNBC's "All in With Chris Hayes" aired footage Thursday night of the Microsoft founder speaking at a Gates Foundation event, telling the crowd about two meetings he had with Trump, one at Trump Tower during the presidential transition and another at the White House past year.

But after Mr Trump secured the USA presidency, Mr Gates revealed he had spoken with the President on two occasions - once at Trump Tower in New York City in December 2016 and again in March 2017 at the White House.

Though Trump's memory failed him when it came to identifying illnesses, according to Gates, the president knew a "scary" amount about the Microsoft founder's daughter Jennifer, 22, whom he had met once before.

Mr Gates said last month that Mr Trump was "super interested" in the idea of a universal flu vaccine.

Gates said: "And then, like 20 minutes later, he flew in in a helicopter to the same place".

"It was actually kind of scary how much he knew about my daughter's appearance", Gates said, looking slightly uncomfortable. "Melinda [Gates's wife] didn't like that too well", he added.

Back in April, Gates revealed that Trump had offered him to head the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy when he and his wife went to meet him at the White House in March - a job that Gates proceeded to turn down, Fortune reported. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, where he spends most of his time, has made it one of its core causes to tackle the spread of the virus. "So I was able to explain that those are rarely confused with each other".

This wouldn't be the first time Gates spoke publicly about the content of that meeting, either.

"Clearly he had been driven away but wanted to make a grand entrance in a helicopter". HPV is a different virus than HIV and HSV (herpes). "His first sentence kind of threw me off, [Trump] said: 'Trump hears that you don't like what Trump's doing.' And I thought, 'Wow..."

'Because he was considering a commission to look into the ill effects of vaccines, and Robert Kennedy Jr. was advising him that vaccines were causing bad things, and I said "no, that's a dead end, don't do that".

"I didn't know the third-party form was always expected". He also wanted to know more about the difference between HPV and HIV, two very different viruses that are both classified as sexually transmitted infections, as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention explains on its website.
