WWE Raw reportedly staying with NBCU, Smackdown's future undecided

WWE Raw reportedly staying with NBCU, Smackdown's future undecided

According to the Hollywood Reporter, USA Network is planning to keep Monday Night Raw, paying as much as three times its current value.

It sounds like NBCUniversal is able to afford airing Raw only so Smackdown Live may have to find a new network to call home.

WWE Raw looks set to remain on the USA Network after the company's current set of TV rights expire in September 2019, but the same can't be said for SmackDown.

- FOX isn't ready to give up on picking up Raw in addition to its reported frontrunner status regarding landing the rights to Smackdown. I think they won't end the brand split.

The main thing WWE needs to agree on is that Smackdown Live needs to air preferably on Tuesday nights in order for the show to stay being "live".

Fox this year inked a massive five-year, $550 million annual deal for rights to the NFL's Thursday Night Football as the broadcast network begins to focus on sports and news.

We at the Outerhaven will reach out to both World Wrestling Entertainment as well as NBCUniversal and update this article with any relevant information related to this story.
