Reality television star Kim Kardashian West on Wednesday met with the United States President Donald Trump for discussing on prison reform.

Kardashian tweeted that the meeting was for Alice Johnson, a 63-year-old woman who was sentenced to life in prison in 1996 on cocaine possession and money-laundering charges.

Let's get checking out a bunch of times Kylie Jenner proved she was the Queen of selfies.

According to a report from Vanity Fair, Kardashian learned of the plight of 62-year-old Alice Marie Johnson, a great-grandmother now serving jail time for a low level offence, and made a decision to lend her star power to the cause.

"She explained, "[I'm] trying to bring her case to the president's desk and figure out how we can get her out.

"There was a reason why I was looking at my Twitter at that moment", Kardashian West said of the moment when she first saw the video.

"Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing", he wrote the caption.

"Kim why don't you do something closer to home, like mental health", Williams said, seeming to imply that Kardashian would know more about that topic because of West's past breakdown.

Kardashian West's husband Kanye West - with whom she has children North, four, Saint, two, and Chicago, four months - has also been supporting Trump over the past few months.

While Obama commuted a record number of sentences, Johnson was denied clemency at that time.

"I'm just focused on criminal-justice reform and helping one person at a time". A petition asking Trump to grant Johnson clemency has also nearly reached its goal of 300,000 supporter signatures as of Wednesday.

A rare A-list celebrity to visit the White House since Trump took office, Kardashian West was seen posing for photos in front of the West Wing before entering.

Actor Sylvester Stallone successfully lobbied Trump for a posthumous pardon of legendary boxer Jack Johnson.

Kardashian West reportedly discovered 62-year-old Alice Johnson's story on Twitter earlier this year and contacted Trump's daughter, Ivanka, who put her in touch with Kushner.
