Federal Bureau of Investigation agent accidentally fires gun while dancing at a Denver nightclub

Video of the incident shows the gun falling out of the agent's trousers as he does a backflip.

The video shows the agent dancing with a large crowd surrounding him at the bar.

As the (probably drunk) agent flipped, his gun toppled out of its holster and landed on the ground. The agent scrambles for the gun, which fires as he picks it up.

The victim was hit in the lower leg and taken to a local hospital but is expected to be OK, according to Denver Police. The police investigation was continuing, and any charges would be determined by the Denver District Attorney's Office, said Officer Marika Putnam.


The shooting is no doubt a serious incident, but some people on Twitter have other pressing concerns, mainly regarding the agent's dance skills. He quickly picked the gun up and tucked it back into his waistband, but the gun went off when he retrieved it.

As you can see in the footage above, the off-duty Federal Bureau of Investigation agent is busting out moves on the dance floor as a crowd gathered to watch.

The FBI has declined to comment on the incident.

The woman who captured the incident on her phone, identified only as Julie, told KDVR that she could hardly believe what she was witnessing. The agent then walks off the dance floor. "I was shocked. I honestly just wanted to make sure that my friends ..."
