E3 2018: Bethesda announces Prey DLC called Mooncrash

Arkane Studios is working on a bunch of new content for its first-person horror role-playing game "Prey", publisher Bethesda announced during its E3 2018 press conference.

In Prey: Mooncrash, fight overwhelming odds to escape the secret TranStar moon base where the enemies you encounter, the hazards you face, the goals you complete, and the loot you collect are different each time you play. The game will allow users to play both online and in single player mode.

Prey developers also announced an upcoming new multiplayer mode for the game called Typhon Hunter. Now Peter, a hacker stationed aboard a spy satellite tasked with intercepting TranStar communications, must find out why. The updates are available to download now alongside the new Mooncrash DLC, and the game will also be receiving a VR iteration which will feature these new updates.

You don't have to pay anything extra to get some new Prey stuff, though. "The further you go, the better the loot - and the better your chances for survival in your next spin through Mooncrash".

This is a competitive game mode which is basically a high-stakes game of cat and mouse, pitting Morgan Yu against mimics that will hide or try to disguise themselves as every day objects in order to hunt Yu down. Typhon Hunter will come to the game this summer.

Wolfenstein's VR mode on the other hand will be available as a standalone release sometime in 2019.
