Didier Deschamps' Spain Claim Hits Manchester United's Antoine Griezmann Hopes

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has revealed his future will be decided in the next week as speculation mounts over a move to Barcelona.

However, the France worldwide refused to go into details about that decision or reveal if he would be exiting Madrid in the current transfer window.

Griezmann joined Atletico in 2014 and still has four years remaining on his contract.

Barca already have Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and Messi in their forward line, but the latter believes that additional firepower could be required if his side are to end their recent dry spell on the continental stage.

Griezmann has been dedicating a lot of time to his decision, and reports claim that he's turned to French teammates while preparing for the World Cup for advice.

It was hoped Griezmann would clarify his future at the press conference, but he refused to be drawn into a discussion. "I know there's a lot of expectation, but today is not the day [to speak about my future]", he said reading from a pre-prepared statement. I have made my choice.

Seeing how things have come full circle for Griezmann is just handsome and we're eager to see how he performs on the grandest stage of them all, especially considering how electric he was two years back.

The 27-year-old has reportedly been told by Les Bleus manager Didier Deschamps to sort out his future before the 2018 World Cup kicks off on June 14.

And Griezmann confirmed after France's final warm-up match on Saturday that a decision will be made over the coming days.
