E3 2018: Spider-Man Dazzles in New Gameplay, Lots of Villains Unveiled

Those four join Mister Negative as five villains in our game cooperating with the mysterious sixth villain that Spider-Man sees just before the end of the gameplay video They all showed off brand new, original, and more powerful versions of their suits.

Either way, the epic trailer has done everything it can to ensure that we'll all want to be there day one when the adventure begins. This year, Sony and Insomniac dropped an intense seven minute preview that put Spidey in the middle of a breakout at the maximum security prison known as The Raft. In addition to run-of-the-mill goons, Spider-Man winds up facing off against supervillians like Rhino, Scorpion, and Vulture as he attempts to stop the break out.

The trailer, which features a decent dose of gameplay, shows Spider-Man and Wraith arriving at The Raft just as Electro breaks many of Spider-Man's enemies out of their cells. Including the last, unnamed villain, it would appear as though Insomniac is inching toward the reveal of their own Sinister Six. We get to see the web swinging mechanic in full action, though it seems to be tied to the Circle button rather than R2 or something more user friendly. Each villain is crafty and resourceful enough to have organized such an elaborate prison break, but only time will tell who is responsible.

Spider-Man will be released on September 7. Share your theories below!
