Ghost of Tsushima makes its gameplay debut at E3 2018

While the earlier demo seen during the conference was focused on welcoming Spider-Man's iconic villains into the fold, the gameplay demo gave a better impression of how the game will function moment to moment.

Our team is thrilled to finally show you more of what you'll be up against in Marvel's Spider-Man. The combat looks exceptional, the graphics are stunning, the characters are interesting, and the entire world is one that we just want to dive in.

A brand new Spider-Man PS4 trailer has been released, with the web-slinger being showcased during the Sony E3 2018 event and hinting at the inclusion of the Sinister Six. Spidey has to deal with a breakout at The Raft, the Marvel Universe's prison for supervillains, and faces up to plenty of familiar foes, including The Scorpion, The Vulture, Rhino, Electro and relative newcomer Mr Negative.

I've been rather critical of Sony's E3 pressers over the last few years, leaning far too heavily, I feel, on speculative, long term game announcements. And there's also a tantalizing cliffhanger that will surely make a few people eager to try out the game for themselves. Swing freely through Marvel's New York City in epic action set-pieces filled with a rich narrative and relatable characters. Now a seasoned Super Hero, Peter Parker has been busy keeping crime off the streets as Spider-Man. Faced with overwhelming odds and higher stakes, Spider-Man must rise up and be greater.

Marvel's Spider-Man will arrive exclusively on PlayStation 4 on September 7. It's available to pre-order right here.
