Halo Infinite revealed with stunning trailer at E3 2018

Halo Infinite has been announced during Microsoft's E3 2018 Xbox One press conference. There's a new Halo, multiple Gears of War games, and a multitude of trailers for everything from Kingdom Hearts III to Fallout 76. In the demo below, you can see the game in action, including the new dynamic seasons system, which adjusts the weather periodically and creates different driving experiences and events to keep players coming back for more. That game is still to be published by Gearbox, however this will change their future work. Britain is the setting for the latest outing, which isn't perhaps as exotic as previous games but fitting that Playground Games welcome to the Microsoft family will be a chance to show off its home country. This was one of the givens for the conference, but it's always good to see solid exclusives for Xbox One even if it was expected.

The most striking aspect of the new gaming environment though is seasonal changes, and they're truly attractive. The industry is headed in an exciting direction, and we see an opportunity to create fantastic new game experiences of the future.

"Our growth strategy is to continue to expand the worlds that players love, while developing all-new exclusive games that deepen their engagement with our platform".

The game is also being built using 343's new Slipspace Engine, which is detailed in a new blog.

Forza Horizon 4 has been officially announced by Microsoft Studios, ahead of the title's official release on 2nd October 2018.

Ninja Theory has designed titles including Hellblade, Undead Labs has released the State of Decay series, and Compulsion Games is working on its new title We Happy Few which will launch this year.

"The longevity of games resulting from the "games as a service" model is also why Xbox is committed to backwards compatibility".
