Resident Evil 2 remake debuts at Sony’s E3 show

However, it's possible that the system has been tweaked in some way to accommodate for improvements or even just the highly cinematic nature of the original Resident Evil 2 camera system. Additionally, it seems like it will feature the same over the shoulder camera as Resident Evil 4.

We've known that the Resident Evil 2 remake has been in development for a few years now, but fans had no idea what direction the game was taking until Sony unveiled it at E3 2018.

Resident Evil 2 remake will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on 25th January 2019, and there are two rather intense new trailers to check out below. X, a bunch of zombies, lickers and other T-Virus infected beasties. "We want fans to see the reimagining of Resident Evil 2 not only captures the magic of the beloved original, but also expands it to deliver a richer experience".

Resident Evil 2 remake players will also find themselves interacting with a cast of familiar faces, with the trailer confirming the return of Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, as well as the mysterious Ada Wong and the ill-fated RPD officer Marvin Branagh. They must work together to survive and get to the bottom of what is behind the terrifying attack. Both Leon and Claire have their own separate playable campaigns, allowing players to see the story from both characters' perspectives. We've been very eager to unveil the new game to the world this week.

Sony showed off the remake of Resident Evil 2 during its Electronic Entertainment Event today in Los Angeles. Will they make it out alive?

As you might have noticed from the reveal trailer, Resident Evil 2 is made in the same engine as the 2017 release of Resident Evil VII.

It's hard to describe just how much work seems to have gone into this remake; they've created photorealistic models from the ground up and will even have a few new surprises in terms of level design.
