Star Fox returns in Starlink, Ubisoft's toys-to-life space game

So there's a little insight into Starlink: Battle for Atlus' toys-to-life setup? Starlink was first revealed back at E3 2017, and this year, it made another appearance.

Even if we didn't spoil the surprise in the title, it's probably clear which Nintendo character fits best within an adventure game set in space. There's no word if this will be bundled with some copies of the game, or if it will be required to access the Star Fox content, but it sure was a pretty looking model.

The release date for Ubisoft's Starlink Battle for Atlas has been announced during the publisher's E3 2018 press conference alongside the announcement that Star Fox is coming to the Switch version. Sorry Xbox One and PS4 owners, but Fox McCloud will (obviously) be a Nintendo Switch exclusive. Battle for Atlas uses a completely modular spaceship toy that attaches to your game controller.

Star Fox in Starlink! Much like other toys-to-life games (think Skylanders and Disney Infinity), you'll use physical toys to claim in-game goodies. Ubisoft says the base game can be fully completed with what will come in the starter pack - but more ships will be available for players who want more options. The company confirmed that Starlink: Battle for Atlas will launch on October 16, 2018.
