Square Enix also announced, for whatever reason, that they're re-releasing the remastered re-release of Kingdom Hearts 1.5, 2.5, and 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue all together in one package with Kingdom Hearts III.

Kingdom Hearts III launches on January 29 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

During its press briefing, the company fed out more details on the long-awaited cartoon/JRPG fusion Kingdom Hearts 3 ... and some other things.

Just Cause 4 received the EDM treatment in a trailer that showcased its violently volatile world and weather, as well as a few snippets of gameplay.

It was nice to see Dragon Quest XI in the spotlight, a series that often doesn't enjoy its share of mainstream.

Square Enix next showed a trailer for their upcoming title Babylon's Fall.

The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit is up next with two members of DONTNOD explaining how this game will relate to Season 2 of Life is odd including some links to entice players.

We've taken everything that players loved from our previous games and with brand new features, enhanced physics and core gameplay improvements, we've created the most ambitious Just Cause experience to date.

The next Dragon Quest title is shown detailing a new dark force taking over the world and the call to arms that the protagonist has to answer. Babylon's Fall, meanwhile, was only of interest because of PlatinumGames' name being attached to it.

While Square Enix's showcase was ultimately disappointing, it's all their own doing. A lot of games that were presented at Microsoft's E3 press conference. It's not just for the sake of their fans, but for the sake of their public image.

Two of the biggest Square Enix-published games have actually already been shown off on stage at E3 2018.
