Dumbo Soars in Teaser Trailer For Tim Burton's Live-Action Remake

Dumbo Soars in Teaser Trailer For Tim Burton's Live-Action Remake

Following the Oscar-winning Jungle Book and arriving before the forthcoming Lion King reboot, the next Disney animated classic to get the CG-enhanced live-action treatment is the 1941 tale of a flying elephant. But while Dumbo has some of those familiar, striking images (the jail cell, the trembling eye, the floppy ears), the live-action Dumbo is a bit of a departure from the original film. Burton personally chose the singer-songwriter to be involved in the film.

Dumbo is directed by Tim Burton, who previously helmed the hugely successful Alice in Wonderland for Disney, as well as classics such as Edward Scissorhands, Sleepy Hollow, and the 1989 Batman. But in Dumbo, everyone is flesh-colored, warm and full of hope - especially the young girl Milly (Nico Parker) who takes the lost Dumbo under her wing.

The film stars Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Eva Green and Michael Keaton, plus newcomers Finley Hobbins and Nico Parker. There, they bond with the circus's newest addition, a shy young elephant named Dumbo.

Disney's live action Dumbo trailer is here and we're not crying, you're crying

Cape Town - Disney has just released the first teaser trailer for the live-action remake of Dumbo.

"Dumbo" is due in theaters in March 2019.

However, Dumbo's caretaker soon learns that Dreamland isn't what it appears to be. But the adorable baby elephant's big ears enable him to fly, thus making him a sensation that draws the attention of V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton), the owner of a successful attraction called Dreamland, where Dumbo stars alongside Colette.
