E3 2018: Cyberpunk 2077: CD Projekt Addresses First-Person Backlash

Cyberpunk 2077 has a full day/night cycle.

In Cyberpunk 2077, player exploration will only be gated by their "street cred", a number that determines which areas you'll have access to, among other things.

After revealing the trailer at Microsoft's press conference, CDPR have revealed more info about their highly anticipated title, Cyberpunk 2077, in an interview with Gamespot. If you're wondering why there's an emphasis on character customisation in a first-person game, don't fret: "You'll have many opportunities to see your character", CD Projekt RED confirmed.

However, it is stressed that Cyberpunk 2077 is an RPG with FPS elements, not the other way round. Interestingly enough, CD Projekt Red has stated that each decision a player makes regarding these details "influence the shape of the game".

As soon as we manage to get our hands on Cyberpunk 2077, we'll report back - now the game has no release date, although we know it will come out on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. You can also mod weapons and, by using drugs, augment yourself.

That said, as easy as it would be to make cyberpunk your life, whether you want to is another matter.

- comment on an uncooperative character's tattoo to please them, or end a conversation early with a well-placed bullet.

Returning in Cyberpunk 2077 is CD PROJEKT RED's hallmark of choices and consequences.

This is a dark game intended for a mature audience and as it turns out, Night City is a pretty grim place to live. Wear designer clothes, buy (or steal) cars, and acquire black market military tech to help you during your missions. Players will be able to choose between male and female characters which will be full voiced, upgradable body parts and abilities, plenty of stats, have plenty of NPCs, quests, large open-world Night City with ownable apartments, vehicles, bullet-time-like ability, nudity and some rather strong language, and more. Are you bothered about multiplayer? That's a common sentiment at E3, but we're optimistic that this game can pull it off. There'll be "dozens of hours of main story arc quests", as well as additional activities, with an interactive dialogue system.

We don't know when Cyberpunk 2077 will release, but we do know that it's coming to Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
