Metal Wolf Chaos is Getting an English HD Remake

Now, though, Devolver Digital is bringing an official version of the game to Western markets for the very first time.

During Devolver's typically weird press conference, presenter Mahria Zook described Metal Wolf Chaos like this: "this motherfucking legendary piece of cold-rolled wonderful was forged in the most sacred elements of videogame development: mechs, explosions and overly-dramatic voice acting".

The country is in peril as President Michael Wilson defends the nation against a full-scale rebellion lead by Vice President Richard Hawk and the mechanized legions he commands. Originally released on Xbox in 2004, it's become something of a meme in the gaming community.

Metal Wolf Chaos is a game that was developed by From Software in 2004, back before the age of Dark Souls when they were far better known for producing Armored Core games.

From Software's classic game about American mecha technology is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC later this year. The game consists of a fictional president fighting to take back his country after a coup d'état.

Devolver Digital and General Arcade are handling this port, which will upscale the game but retain its original (all English) voice-acting and general zaniness.
