Trump Meets Kim Jong Un in Historic Summit

Trump Meets Kim Jong Un in Historic Summit

"Of those alive today, only a small number will leave a lasting impact, and only the very few will make decisions or take actions that renew their homeland and change the course of history".

But Trump told a press conference after his summit with Kim on Tuesday that sanctions against the DPRK would be in place until Pyongyang completely denuclearizes. As a Time report said, "Korean is a language with strict rules regarding formality, especially in terms of how leaders are addressed, a challenge that is only compacted because of Trump's informal style of discourse and Kim's position as the "supreme leader" of a totalitarian country". The video then goes on to show Trump and Kim as two leaders of vision and destiny intercut with sometimes random clips of, for example, a basketball player making a slam dunk or white horses running through a stream.

The video, which Trump made public later that day at a press conference, made a dramatic pitch for the benefits of peace between the two nations.

This Tuesday marked a historic moment in U.S.

Among those joining the leaders on the USA side were Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, White House chief of staff John Kelly and national security adviser John Bolton.

It concludes much like a movie trailer, showing off its stars, "President Donald Trump and Chairman Kim Jong Un in a meeting to remake history", and ending on the tagline "the future remains to be written".

The two men kicked off their summit with a handshake shortly after 9 a.m. local time Tuesday - 9 p.m. Monday in NY - marking the first face-to-face encounter between a sitting United States president and a North Korean leader. "China's "dual-track" approach is being realized", said professor Lee at South Korea's Kyungnam University. "India has always supported all efforts to bring about peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula through dialogue and diplomacy", the External Affairs Ministry said.
