Los Angeles D.A. Reviewing Sexual Assault Case Against Sylvester Stallone

Los Angeles D.A. Reviewing Sexual Assault Case Against Sylvester Stallone

Greg Risling, spokesman for the Los Angeles District Attorney's office, did not give any further details but said the case was presented by police in Santa Monica, California.

One of Stallone's other attorneys, Blair Berk, has been talking to the investigating officer, Singer said, and she let it be known "that Stallone wanted to file a report that the woman - if it is the same woman - filed a false police report".

Law enforcement sources told TMZ back in December that an unidentified woman filed a report with Santa Monica police - "alleging a rape that occurred 27 years ago" while she was dating Stallone.

The alleged incident at the center of the case took place in 1990s, Lt. Saul Rodriguez of the Santa Monica Police said.

On Wednesday, a representative for Stallone repeated that the actor meant to press a case against his accuser.

"We have already notified the police that my client wants to file a claim against the woman for filing a false police report", the rep told THR.

Stallone's lawyer, Marty Singer, said at the time that the actor "categorically disputes the claim".

In December, the 71-year-old Rocky star was accused of sexually assaulting a woman during an alleged meeting at his office in 1990. "At no time was Mr. Stallone ever contacted by authorities or anyone else regarding this matter".
