Sarah Sanders, Raj Shah Latest Trump Staffers Said to Be Eyeing Exit

About an hour before her tweet, CBS News had reported Sanders, whose stint as White House Press Secretary has been marked by her battles with reporters and accusations of spreading falsehoods, would be leaving the job at the end of the year.

According to the report, Sanders told friends that she plans to leave the administration at the end of the year.

Not to be picky... but that's not an explicit denial of the report. "I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS", she wrote. Shah had not set a date of departure, CBS said.

CBS News said it reached out for a comment from Sanders and Shah, but they had not yet immediately responded.

The White House Press Secretary's tweet appears to deny that there's any truth to the story, but she does not explicitly say she's not leaving sometime soon, either.

Several staffers have left the Trump administration over the last several months including Communications Director Hope Hicks; Homeland Security adviser Tom Bossert; and National Security Council spokesman Michael Anton; and communications aide Steven Cheung.

Sanders, the daughter of former Arkansas Governor and failed presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, assumed the role of press secretary after the exit of Sean Spicer in June 2017.
